What is the difference between a SharePoint list and library in SharePoint Online?

As the name suggests, we create lists in SharePoint to store information and we create
SharePoint document libraries to store documents. But there are a lot of differences between list and library in SharePoint. Like in SharePoint lists, we will have only major versions and in libraries, we can have major and minor versions.
