I think there could be two reasons for this behavior,

1. The status fields needs to be set manually after upload as the value of this field went along the previous file and when you uploaded back after renaming the same value stayed with the file.
2. The other reason is that may be the status field default value is set to processed, so please check the default value and set it to “New”, so that when any file is uploaded it should be set as New status.
