OneNote is going to stay when it comes to productivity on the go like taking notes using any touch input device, capability to add pictures and even videos also enhanced its usage. In future it seems that Microsoft will focus on providing more ways to accessibility for the OneNote i.e adding it in Teams apps and also with OutLook and SharePoint so that document management can be more efficient.
It can be also seen in a video form Microsoft where its explained what is going to be the core functionalities and adoptions for OneNote will be in future.
